Etihad Airways review by Santhosh

Happened to travel on Etihad Airways after a long time for my vacation to India. On several counts, it was disappointing. On the way to India, we had requested for meal preference by calling the Airline's customer service number in Abu Dhabi directly and was told that they don't have enough of what we asked for. The crew was apologetic and advised us to write to a generic mail box. And on the way back, the ground staff at TRV was adamant in explaining policy of the airline and asked me to pay $ 120 as excess baggage fee but it took them a while to figure out how to collect that!! Irked since I had to really negotiate and subsequently rearrange my luggage at the airport. The onboard grub is really below par. For a 16 hour flight from AUH to LAX, their portion sizes were small and didn't have snacks available for people to grab between meals. When the airline is selling snacks on an international flight, it is a clear indication!!!
